Fat-Heads Wall Art: Home Page
The client didn't know what they want, and didn't want me to tell him. His existing collateral was in a word: square. Lots of squares. One of the client's friends was the designer, and it showed. Here, I tried to use his color choice in a way that tried to suggest certain aspects of the product, which is a removeable die-cut 'poster'. I wanted to suggest the 'peeling' aspect of the product, while including his three requirements: the product, basic instructions, and a list of top-ten sellers. It was also decided that the site should fit on WebTV and small screens to maximize the audience availability.
Devine Group: PeopleSearch Admin
The client said "We want a site that looks like amlist.com." We had no budget to tell them otherwise, so we did it.
Drackett Professional: Home Page
The client gave us a folder with their logo requirements, and little else. Original comps for the site, based on this guideline, using their corporate color spectrum, failed to excite them. Our final design threw away every existing style for the client's printed collateral. They loved it.
Nerdgod: Graphic for home page
This graphic came up while trying to design a 'temporary' front page for the nerdgod site. I was going to use the functionality of the scrolling window script from dan steinman's site, but decided to try something more original. Sadly, it's still half-done and only works in IE.
Windows Background: 1024x768
Ocassionally, I get tired of staring at trees or skies and whip up something to put in the background while I work. This is one of those images. I like being able to measure browser widths as I work, so I add the pixel ticks for popular screen sizes to the graphic. This one lasted longer than others that I've done. Maybe because it was so soothing to me. It is, after all, Lithium.
Photoshop Layers: Elevator Button
I don't even remember what this was for, but someone wanted a dirty elevator button. And I had nothing to do when they asked, so I spent an hour making an elevator button.
New Pen Tablet: sketch.
I was watching a PBS special on Industrial Light and Magic while playing with my new pen tablet, and by the time the show was over, this is what I had. Why include a sketch? Because I'm personally happy with the outcome of this spontaneous doodle.
